Boom in Anniversary Year: 10th Blechexpo / 3rd Schweisstec – For the first time, Blechexpo will cover the field of “hybrid technology”
The 10th BLECHexpo and the 3rd SCHWEISStec, taking place from 6 through 9 June 2011 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre, are once again expecting an increase in exhibitor numbers at the tenth anniversary event as compared with 2009.
The two complimentary trade fairs, namely the BLECHexpo international trade fair for sheet metal processing and the SCHWEISStec international trade fair for joining technology, are already nearly booked out this year with a total of 805,000 square feet of available exhibition floor space. The industry platform which was launched in Sinsheim, and was continued as the first technical trade fair held at the new Stuttgart Exhibition Centre (even before its official opening), now has a leading position in Europe. It holds second place in the world rankings of trade fairs for sheet metal processing. More than 957 exhibitors presented their companies, and over 25,000 visitors gathered information at the 9th BLECHexpo in 2009. Everything indicates that these outstanding results will again be exceeded at the upcoming anniversary event.
The fields of “hybrid technology” has been newly added to the nomenclature for BLECHexpo 2011, because material combinations are gaining more and more significance in the production process. The addition of these topic makes good sense, because the process sequence idea is doubtless an important success factor for BLECHexpo, on which its entire concept is based, and which is also embodied in the concurrently promoted SCHWEISStec trade fair. In actual practice, the sheet metal processing and joining/bonding sequences merge smoothly into one another anyway, and thus the entire manufacturing sequence for modules and parts made of sheet metal and profiles is clearly demonstrated to interested parties at the event. Consequently, the trade fair duo consisting of BLECHexpo and SCHWEISStec offers expert visitors the world’s only opportunity of gaining a comprehensive and clear picture at a trade fair centre with optimised travel connections and offerings, and thus within a manageable period of time.
